Luxurious Silk Ribbon
Silk has long been known as the "Queen of Fiber" and for good reason. Developed by the Chinese thousands of years ago, its unique qualities have mde it the standard by which all other fiber are measured. Silk is a 100% natural fiber that possesses a strength, luster, softness and suppleness that cannot be imitated. Nothing feels or handles like real silk, not even the best syntheic fibers. YLI silk ribbon is colourfast and can be dry cleaned or hand washed. If it goes flat for whatever reason, it only needs a spritz of water to regain its former shape. Surpisingly durable, silk ribbon can be used in many applications including: hand and machine embroidery, doll dressing, decorative serging, smocking, weaving, etc. Silk ribbon comes in 2mm, 4mm, 7mm, 13mm, and 32mm widths. I only stock the 2,4, and 7 mm widths. The other widths are available by special order only and may take some time for them to arrive. Click here for a colour chart.
