It is very important to buy the needles that match the brand of pleater and in the case of the Read,
be sure to know how many rows that your pleater has.

If needles are bent, be sure to replace them as they will cause other needles beside them to bend
and possiibly break as you use your pleater.

Be sure that your needles are 'seated' securely in their spot
before attempting to put the roller back in place.
|
Smocking Pleater needles last a long time if you are careful with them but they do get dull
especially if pleating polyester fabrics or blends. |
Remember that if you are in a hurry, that is usually when everything goes wrong.
Just like a computer, pleaters seem to know when time is precious.
It is best to be relaxed and patient.
