This versatile pattern includes versions for both infant boys and girls. This darling romper has a front inset, Peter Pan collar, short puffed sleeves with bias sleeve bands for girls, straight sleeves with optional contrasting cuffs for boys, elastic at the leg openings and a snap crotch. Details include piping and lace trim, a lined bodice and mock button tabs. In addition, the front inset can be embellished with smocking, hand or machine embroidery, heirloom sewing techniques and applique. As am added bonus, the pattern includes a cute embroidered puppy design, applique rocking horse design and simple geometric smocking design.

Baby Brooke

Baby Booke is an elegant smocked bishop dress with puffed or angel sleeves. It is designed to be embellished with simple hand embroidery, lace insertion and edging at the sleeves and the hemline. In addition, a contrast fabric is used below the lace insertion to create a truly unique dress. Complete illustrated instructions are included in the pattern. Additional variations are described in the exclusive Designer Pages and include "Country Girl"-simplicity itself using calico and blanket stitch embellishment: "Summer Picnic" - tiny gingham, mini rickrack and eyelet edging make a quick summer dress and "Pure Elegance" - an elegant variation that uses wide Swiss embroidered edging instead of the contrasting fabric. As you can see, Baby Brooke can be dressed up or down as you desire, making it a very versatile pattern.

The dress and top have ties at the shoulders, back button closure and gathered tiers below the slightly raised bodice. The shorts have elastic at the waist and self-fabric ruffles, eyelet or rick rack at the leg openings.
