    YLI Water Soluble Thread: Wash-A-Way

    This thread dissolves in water or with an iron and wet press cloth.
    There are dozens of uses for this throughout garment construction including pocket positioning, gathers, set-in sleeves, hems, fittings, etc.
    For sewing the tucks in shark’s teeth, and machine trapunto, too.
    Just make sure you mark the thread and bobbin carefully so you don’t mix it up with your usual thread,
    and don’t wet the end to thread the needle!

    Vanish Extra by Superior Threads

    Water soluble thread. Perfect for basting and applique.
    Not recommended for swimsuits.

    Vanish water-soluble thread is created from a special blend of ingredients that allows the thread to be sewn or quilted
    and when immersed in water, dissolves.

    Vanish-Extra Water Soluble Thread is recommended for longarm and other high speed machines
    as a top thread.
    It can also be used as a bobbin thread.

    We recommend that you immerse your quilt/project to allow Vanish to thoroughly dissolve.
    Warm water will speed up the time for Vanish to dissolve.

    Charlotte's Fusible thread

    Fusible thread. 115 yds. 100% Nylon. Fuses without the stiffness of adhesive web. Great alternative for fusible appliqué, especially when multiple layers are involved. For use in bobbin.

    If used as a top thread, it will melt to your iron when pressed.

    Sulky Invisible Thread

    This is the thread you’ve been reading about: a super-fine .004 size nylon monofilament thread. (Not like the old invisible thread that was just like fishing line!) This new generation nylon is ideal for any machine artwork. As well, it is the thread recommended for quilting by machine, just use the clear thread on light fabrics and the smoke on the darker ones.
