    • This heat reactive thread shrinks when an iron is run over it whereas, the fabric does not shrink.
    • The result is a puckered effect that can create a wonderful textured background for your work.
    • Easy to do and fun to play with.

    YLI Water Soluble Thread: Wash-A-Way

    This thread dissolves in water or with an iron and wet press cloth. There are dozens of uses for this throughout garment construction including pocket positioning, gathers, set-in sleeves, hems, fittings, etc. For sewing the tucks in shark’s teeth, and machine trapunto, too. Just make sure you mark the thread and bobbin carefully so you don’t mix it up with your usual thread, and don’t wet the end to thread the needle!  100 Yard Spool.

    Sulky Invisible Thread
    This is the thread you’ve been reading about: a super-fine .004 size nylon monofilament thread. (Not like the old invisible thread that was just like fishing line!) This new generation nylon is ideal for any machine artwork. As well, it is the thread recommended for quilting by machine, just use the clear thread on light fabrics and the smoke on the darker ones.
