    Hardanger Supplies

    What is Hardanger???
    Hardanger is a counted thread technique from Norway, admired for its delicate stitches and fine cut work. This form of embroidery is traditionally worked with white thread on white even-weave cloth but colours can be used as well.  Two weights of Perlé Cotton thread are used in matching colours.  Size 5 and 8
    Perlé Cotton are ideal for the fabrics below.

    Woven with a double thread which is counted as one. 
    When this fabric is used with cross stitch, it is usually worked over 2 threads making it an 11 count.

    Uses:  Hardanger. Cross Stitch, Blackwork, and other counted thread techniques.
