    Linen Blends and Look Alikes

    55% Linen 45% Cotton Blend

    with a crease resistant finish!

    This fabric is one of my favourites. I use it for so many different things.
    First the price is great compared to the price of pure linen.
    Since it is a woven, yarn dyed blend of 55% linen and 45% cotton, it is a natural fabric
    with the combined characteristics of linen and cotton.
    Be sure to pre-wash it as it does shrink some, particularly in the width.
    It has a crease resistant finish so is much easier to iron/press than linen.

    This fabric does not replace linen
    but there are many places that this is a great substitute.

     

    White Linen/Cotton Blend

    Use this fabric where ever you would use linen and more. Since it wrinkles less than linen, it makes it desirable for garments too.     55" wide

    Ecru Linen/Cotton Blend

    This fabric makes a great background for embroidery. The colour gives a soft look to your finished piece. It is easy to needle and does not wrinkle like linen. I also use this for Candlewick Embroidery. It is a perfect colour for my Candlewicking thread and stitches so nice. It looks so much nicer than muslin when completed.   55" wide

    I use this as a fabric base for my Sashiko. It needles well, has a nice texture and a good price. Be sure to pre-wash. Wonderful for garments too.   55" wide

    Weaver's Cloth

    Natural Weaver's Cloth

    This fabric has the look of linen but not the same feel as linen. It needles very well, is great for Punch Needle Embroidery as well as other types of hand or machine embroidery. It makes a great background with the nice texture and subtle luster.

    55%Polyester, 45% Cotton
    Easy Care Few wrinkles.
    Machine wash warm, tumble dry, remove promptly,
    touch up with a warm iron if needed.

    Denim look Weaver's Cloth

    This fabric does not look like linen as much as the natural coloured version. 
    However, it needles very well, is great for
    Punch Needle Embroidery
    as well as other types of hand or machine embroidery. 
    Great for items where you want the look of denim but you want it to be very soft including clothing.
