Needle Tatting
Try Needle Tatting! It is one of the fastest growing techniques of the new
Millennium! Whereas Shuttle tatting can be complicated to learn, most people
quickly acquire needle tatting skills and are creating projects in no time.
Try following along with Barbara Foster’s Video. There is really only one stitch to learn.
All the stitches are formed on a long sewing needle and then removed from
the needle to make rings and chains. Pattern directions for needle tatting and
shuttle tatting are identical. Once you learn the basics, you can follow directions in all tatting books, even those
that you uncover at antique shops or in the attic. You will love this new hand art and the diverse creations that can be
made following these simple techniques.
